Please note, while this role is remote, it requires the successful candidate to be physically located in the United Kingdom. As a Solution Engineer, you serve as part of a group of experts on Inspera products and their use by our customers. This role is about being part of creating market impact in the following ways:

  1. Delivering high impact full-scale demonstrations to prospects and customers to increase their use of the platform and corresponding revenue
  2. Teaching sales team members to conduct small scale demos at an early stage of the sales process
  3. Building internal knowledge of our customers and competitors for use across the business
  4. Assisting the Head of Market, Customer and Partner Advocacy with product advocacy and marketing, building and fostering a client community, generating strong sales enablement material that blends our sales and product strengths

Key responsibilities & Duties

  1. Develop deep and thorough understanding of the Inspera products and services (current and planned)
  2. Develop and enhance your ability to act as a bridge between academic terminology and processes on one side and technical language and solutions on the other
  3. Prepare and conduct well-structured and informative online product demonstrations which address and understand customer needs
  4. Conduct engaging demos for prospects and clients in their context, showing how best to maximise value from our products
  5. Respond to internal enquiries on how best to use Inspera capabilities to maximise value
  6. Represent Inspera in online and on-site sales meetings, presentations, conferences and forums (some travelling may be expected)
  7. Contribute to RFP / tender responses, utilising your detailed product knowledge and understanding of how our customers and prospects conduct assessments

Travel

This role is remote but will require some travel to prospects and customers to deliver on-site demonstrations. We also have occasional team meetings in person however, they are for a specific purpose rather than just at set times. On average, our Solutions Engineers travel 1-2 days a month.

Timing

Note, as this role covers the EMEA region, there may be occasions where an online demo is outside of normal working hours. The holder of this role is expected to work flexibly to accommodate these demos.

Requirements

Must have

  1. Undergraduate / Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  2. Presentation skills online and in-person (We expect some skills and enthusiasm for presenting, but will also help you develop both)
  3. Proactive problem-solving
  4. Analytical skills
  5. Fluent and eloquent oral and written skills in English

Desirable but not essential (We will still consider your application without these, but having any of them will enhance your application)

  1. Background in technical sales, bid writing, sales consultancy or similar
  2. Experience of delivering presentations in the EdTech sector
  3. Fluent and eloquent oral and writing skills in languages other than English
  4. Experience working in the Higher Education sector
  5. Understanding of academic practices and workflows
  6. Experience using Ed Tech applications
