The Hardware Installer will work within a designated territory in Russia (ideally Moscow based) but can also expect some travel within the RCA region, it is estimated that each site install will take up to 4 weeks, overall travel is high, in the region of up to 80%.

In this challenging position, you will install our radiotherapy equipment at our customers facilities & work directly with the end user during installation and acceptance.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Installs and upgrades specific Varian Medical Systems (VMS) products according to technical documentation provided.
  • Instructs customers in basic operation and basic maintenance of VMS products.
  • Advises customers in safety and emergency procedures.
  • Reports by means of FSR’s / time sheets / expense reports / installation reports etc. (as applicable) regularly / weekly to ensure accurate company statistical data on customer-oriented activities is available / maintained up to date.
  • Inputs detailed records of installation and upgrade work performed into company information systems, including technical problems, actions taken, and parts employed to correct these problems.
  • Maintains up-to-date technical documentation, in order to permanently keep informed regarding all operating characteristics, design factors, technical performance and development of VMS products to improve installation efficiency.
  • Maintains a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to VMS guidelines.
  • Willingness for extensive global travel (80% / Duration of each trip, approx. 1- 4 weeks)

Nice to have

  • Graduate of Technical Institute or University in electronics, electrical / biomedical engineering or related fields or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of and sound professional technical experience with mechanics and PC based systems.
  • Sound knowledge of processes and methods such as product specification, product developments / expansions and product security and safety plus professional experience of electronic and mechanical testing equipment used for verification, checkout and calibration of VMS products.
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken
  • You are customer service & team-oriented and you have a proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills.
  • You are able to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • You thrive in managing numerous tasks accurately and simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
