Roles & Responsibilities

• Database Design & Implementation:
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases on Azure and Google Cloud, with a strong focus on scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to ensure databases are optimized for reporting and analysis, particularly with Google BigQuery.
  • Implement new databases and efficiently migrate existing systems to Azure and Google Cloud platforms.

• Cloud Platform Expertise:
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Azure and Google Cloud platforms, including database services, security configurations, and networking.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues that may arise with database access, ensuring reliable data connections for end-users.
  • Provide expert support for cloud-based solutions, including BigQuery, and ensure integration with existing tools and systems.

• Performance Monitoring & Tuning:
  • Monitor database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and connectivity issues.
  • Conduct database tuning to ensure efficient and reliable operation on cloud platforms.

• Data Security & Integrity:
  • Implement and enforce stringent security policies to protect cloud-based database systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and apply corrective actions to address vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure data integrity and establish robust backup and recovery procedures tailored to cloud environments.

• Database Maintenance:
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and upgrades on Azure and Google Cloud databases.
  • Monitor resource utilization and plan for capacity expansion as needed in the cloud.

• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
  • Investigate and resolve database-related incidents, with a focus on cloud-based systems and connectivity.
  • Provide expert support for any database-related problems reported by end-users, particularly in Azure and Google Cloud environments.

• Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures, including cloud-specific setups.

• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand database requirements and deliver optimal solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, system administrators, and management, to address connectivity and security needs.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in SQL programming and database management.
• Extensive experience with Azure and Google Cloud platforms, including deep expertise in troubleshooting connectivity issues and optimizing database performance.
• Strong understanding of cloud security practices and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and other cloud-based database services.
• Proven ability to manage SQL Server databases and related technologies in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in resolving cloud connectivity and performance issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be residing in the Philippines
• Amenable working Night Shift
