Texas Instruments (TI) is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer in Tucson, Arizona. At TI Systems Engineers collaborate with the Engineering Team to define detailed specifications for next-generation products in TI’s TES product line, with a focus on temperature and humidity sensor solutions.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Analyze key end equipment in the automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing markets to identify technology and system trends, uncover opportunities to improve performance, and define value-added features for future products.
- →Assess and negotiate integrated circuit (IC) development trade-offs with the Design Team and customers, by collaborating closely with internal teams (Design, Test, Validation, Program Management) and external partners (Process, Packaging) to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release.
- →Interface with Field Sales and Applications Teams to provide technical customer support, including creation of technical collateral, participation in customer visits, delivery of technical presentations and workshops, deep-dive discussions, and review of customer system architectures and schematics.
- →Troubleshoot customer application issues using lab measurements, schematic and layout reviews, and other diagnostic methods as needed, and recommend robust design solutions.
- →Engage directly with customers to collect feedback on existing products and identify opportunities for new product development.
- →Translate system-level requirements into detailed product specifications for innovative temperature and humidity sensor solutions.
- →Create and maintain technical documentation and literature for temperature sensor products, including but not limited to Validation & Verification Compliance Matrices (VVCMs), datasheets, application notes, technical notes, and technical presentations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive engineering experience in analog mixed-signal design or applications. 5 years of experience to include: Collaborating with customers regarding design specifics and defining sensor specifications. Working with Marketing, Applications, and Design teams to define, develop, and bring sensor products to market. Testing customer electronic products and prototypes in a laboratory environment. Using electronic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies. OR
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 3 years of engineering experience in analog mixed-signal design or applications. Experience to include: Collaborating with customers regarding design specifics and defining sensor specifications; and 2 years of experience working with Marketing, Applications, and Design teams to define, develop, and bring sensor products to market. Testing customer electronic products and prototypes in a laboratory environment. Using electronic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies.
- 20% domestic and international travel required.
