Painter T1 - Voorhees

Job Title: Painter

Purpose: To paint HVAC equipment and replacement parts.

Duties and Responsibilities: Painters are responsible for prepping equipment and/or replacement parts for painting and applying paint to the equipment. Prepping can include sanding, taping, metal working, etc. Painters will also be responsible for the proper disposal of any chemical/paint waste. The proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and any other PPE is required when necessary. Painters will be required to wear all paint-related PPE during a job, i.e., respirators, paint suits, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of paint safety and willingness to follow all safety/PPE policies and procedures

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality control

• Basic math skills

• Time management skills

• Ability to perform multiple tasks at once

• Knowledge of paint, thinners, and painting equipment

• Knowledge of paint mixing and the use of mixing cups

• Knowledge and ability to sand/prep parts for paint

• Ability to work independently and learn on the job

• Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Metal working or body shop skills for repair projects

Education:

• HS diploma or GED

Experience:

• Previous painting experience in an Industrial environment is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• 8-hour workdays (7am-4pm) with one hour lunch break

• May require overtime and weekend work.

• Physical lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, climbing, stooping possible.

• Paint booth operations; Special PPE required.
