Senior UX Designer 
The Senior UX Designer (UX Focus) is a user-centered practitioner responsible for user research, experience definition, and interaction design across client engagements. You help teams understand users, define the right experience, and turn that direction into artifacts engineers can build. At this level, you translate user insights into clear UX direction and buildable artifacts that help delivery teams ship intuitive, scalable solutions. You keep UX work connected to delivery by aligning with team cadence, surfacing risks early, and validating designs through feedback and testing.

Responsibilities
Project / Program Leadership
You plan and run UX work across discovery and delivery, keeping research, design, and team alignment moving in the same direction.

• Translate ambiguous problems into clear UX workstreams, priorities, and deliverables. 
• Surface experience risks and tradeoffs early, including usability, accessibility, and feasibility constraints. 
• Support sprint rhythms through refinement, planning, standups, and demos to keep teams aligned with experience intent. 
• Turn qualitative inputs into clear experience narratives, decisions, and next steps. 

Delivery and Consulting Excellence
You conduct research, define the experience structure, and produce designs that are clear enough to build, test, and improve through delivery.
• Conduct user interviews, contextual inquiry, observation, and workflow studies to uncover user goals, pain points, and constraints. 
• Perform competitive landscape analysis to understand expectations, patterns, and opportunities. 
• Create personas, journey maps, workflows, and insight summaries that inform product direction and delivery decisions. 
• Define information architecture, navigation structures, and task flows that guide experience direction. 
• Produce UI concepts and prototypes that teams can build with confidence. 
• Document designs with annotations and specifications that enable engineering and reduce rework. 
• Validate concepts through usability testing and translate findings into refinements and requirement updates. 
• Maintain experience quality through iteration so usability and accessibility remain intact through delivery.

Mentorship and Team Development
You help raise quality across the team by mentoring others and sharing practical UX methods that improve collaboration and outcomes.
• Mentor junior designers through feedback, pairing, and guidance on research, interaction design, and problem framing. 
• Share UX methods and best practices with cross-functional teammates to strengthen collaboration and outcomes. 
• Contribute to capability building across the design community by reinforcing quality and craft expectations. 

Growth and Innovation
You strengthen consistency across engagements by contributing reusable assets and improving how UX works within cross functional delivery.
• Contribute to UX playbooks, design standards, and reusable frameworks that improve consistency across engagements. 
• Advocate for accessibility, usability, and human centered design principles in client and internal delivery practices. 
• Improve how UX integrates with cross functional delivery by identifying gaps and sharing lessons learned. 

Requirements
This role is a fit for a designer who can run research and interaction design work end to end, communicate clearly, and deliver artifacts teams can build from.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• 4+ years of experience in UX design or product design. 
• Strong portfolio demonstrating research, interaction design, and problem solving. 
• Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery environments. 
• Strong knowledge of UX methods, usability best practices, and human centered design. 
• Strong visual and interaction design capability with attention to detail. 
• Clear communicator and effective design storyteller. 
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working with diverse stakeholder groups. 
• Proficiency with Figma. 
• Experience with research tools such as Dovetail or User Testing is a plus. 
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for cross functional collaboration. 

Domain Expertise
Senior Consultants in Product Consulting bring deep expertise in one primary discipline while partnering across others. In this role, primary depth is expected in User Experience, with strong cross functional partnership across the others.

User Experience
You own experience design outputs that define a usable experience, and you iterate based on feedback to keep quality intact through delivery.
• Plan and conduct research, then synthesize findings into personas, journeys, and workflows. 
• Define navigation models and task flows that scale. 
• Produce UI concepts and prototypes, document behaviors, and iterate based on feedback and usability findings. 
• Ensure usability and accessibility are reflected in designs and maintained through delivery.

Project Management
You keep UX work aligned to delivery by matching cadence, surfacing risks early, and staying clear on what will be delivered and when.
• Align UX activities to delivery cadence through refinement, planning, demos, and shared working rhythms. 
• Surface experience risks, dependencies, and decision points early so teams can act quickly. 
• Keep UX outputs connected to delivery reality through clear scope and prioritization. 

Product Management
You help UX insights influence what gets built by partnering on backlog shaping, prioritization, and clear tradeoffs.
• Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts so UX insights shape backlog items and prioritization. 
• Translate research into clear user needs and experience considerations that inform requirements. 
• Support product decision making with flows, prototypes, and artifacts that make tradeoffs visible. 

General Consulting
You help teams move forward by communicating clearly, facilitating alignment, and balancing user needs with business and technical constraints.
• Communicate insights and recommendations with clear storytelling and visuals that align with stakeholders. 
• Facilitate working sessions that clarify problems, align direction, and define next steps. 
• Partner across disciplines to balance user needs, business outcomes, and technical feasibility.
