- Flexibility in schedule is needed with responsibilities in multiple Floyd locations
- Travel expected to ER on a weekly to bi-weekly basis
The Atrium Health Floyd family of health care services is a leading medical provider and economic force in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Plans and monitors the needs of the program. Assesses program development needs and financial viability of the program in collaboration with the director.
- →Develops treatment protocols and designs and executes outcome studies regarding treatment effectiveness, to determine further enhancements/modifications for increased efficiency and productivity. Revises program curriculum and design as necessary.
- →Reviews and/or revises the program to ensure compliance of operations with laws, regulations, policies, accreditations and certification standards. Participates in policy and procedure development.
- →Oversees clinical research, evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of evidence-based treatment. Determines effectiveness of interventions and other program components in working with patients.
- →Works with site based and regional teams to meet local, state, and federal compliance standards, guidelines, and practices, including The Joint Commission (TJC).
- →Provides psycho-diagnostic services to patients and their families and identifies and administers appropriate diagnostic materials. Provides quality individual, couple, family and/or group therapy, which is focused on the patient's identified diagnosis and needs, and provides crisis intervention to new and current patients.
- →Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- →Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- →Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
- →Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.

- Master's Degree in Social Work, or
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical, or
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Educational, or
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or related field.
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in the delivery of treatment services and specialty training in the provision of care to patients needing behavioral health services. Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in management of staff, budgets and multiple behavioral health functions.
- May be restricted to individuals with master's degree in social work and be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker upon hire.
- Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements

- Will occasionally be required to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
- May be exposed to the following hazard: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, and reach above shoulders and twist. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time throughout each workday.
- Must be able to restrain and control patients who are outwardly psychotic or physically combative.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
