Chance Aluminum is seeking a motivated and reliable Utility Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the building is in top condition, providing a safe and efficient working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, lawn care, painting, snow removal, and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Assist with facility cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in common areas of the facility.
  • Ensure that safety equipment, emergency exits, and fire safety systems are regularly checked and in good working order.
  • Assist with managing and storing tools, materials, and supplies.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and assist with resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain a well-organized and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure compliance with the company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment safely.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts if necessary.
