Director, Demand and Supply Planning
The main purpose of the Director, Demand and Supply Planning is to provide vision, strategy, leadership, and direction for Business Unit demand and supply planning organizations to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality, customer satisfaction while optimizing supply costs and inventory. Leads the Integrated Business Process (IBP) on behalf of the business unit to ensure proper sales and operations planning, financial integration and new product introductions meet the business goals. Lead the planning organization to increase engagement and develop talent.
- Lead the Supply Chain Planning and Integrated Business Planning process for the business unit
- Manage key stakeholders in Finance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations to insure achievement of business unit operations goals
- Work with peers in R&D and program management to support new product introductions and on-market extensions and develop the LRP strategies.
- Provide vision, definition, and implementation of long-range Finished goods inventory and drive optimization initiatives.
- Develop and track goals and objectives to assure annual improvements in People, Quality, Customer, Operational & Financial are achieved.
- Establish effective measurement systems for performance to assure meeting quality, customer and financial expectations.
- Responsible for planning, budgeting and spending authorization.
- Develop processes, define system requirements, and assume responsibility for the system integration to support multi-manufacturing plant supply chain operations
- Establish effective life cycle management programs to minimize distressed exposure.
- Determine system requirements and technologies needed to maintain and improve performance.
- Enforce compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
- Serve as senior level representative on cross-organizational, cross-plant, cross-division and corporate materials and operations initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related is required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, supply chain analytics, or integrated business planning
- 7+ years leading or directly managing an S&OP and/or IBP process in a global organization
- Strong experience using and/or implementing supply chain planning technologies that support S&OP / IBP
