This position works out of our Nutrition Division. As a District Sales Manager you will be responsible to manage Territory Manager's covering a specific territory with defined targets and defined resources
Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Leads/supervises a team of 2 or more professionals.
First level manager of a work team that could comprise professionals, technical and/or administrative staff.
Typically, without budget or hire/fire authority.
Focuses on mentoring, coaching, and coordination.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for promoting and/or selling the organization's products across multiple or non-specified channels in a designated territory by contacting specialists, physicians, pharmacies and/or distributors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Associates Degree (± 13 years)
Experience/Background
Minimum 4 years
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Achievement of monthly target per Product with a goal of achieving annual targets as well.
2. Managing financial resources of the company assigned to the district specifically for promotional expenses that should lead to achievement of Targets.
3. Managing TM's(per district). By ensuring that the KPI's expected of said TM'sare consistently achieved.
4. Conduct Product Presentations/ Focus Group discussions for the team in case a resource speaker is unavailable.
5. Train existing Territory Manager's in the team being handled in terms of overall development.
6. Collaborate with distributors of our products in ensuring efficient delivery of our products to points of purchase.
7. Coach & Motivate the team/district being handled to ensure maximum performance of each Territory Manager's.
Problem Solving
1. The DSM is tasked to address all sorts of situations that may come in a day's work: His day's tasks are never entirely the same. He/She is expected to be able to find solutions to whatever problem arises in relation to our work. (Example: Out of stock situation in an area where an irate client has an irate customer. - In this scenario, the DSM must be able to pacify both by providing stock at all costs.
Requirements
~1 min read4 year college degree
He/She must have been a Sales Manager for at least 5 years
Proven track record in sales with strong leadership skills
