This position is based in the Singapore manufacturing plant located in Tuas. The Singapore plant is one of the leading manufacturing plants in Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain International Operations network.
- Responsible for managing end-to-end Source to Pay process activities for Singapore Nutrition Supply Chain functions. Main activities include sourcing, RFP/RFQ, bid analysis, Negotiations, contract management, converting approved Purchase Requisition/Shopping carts to Purchase Order, follow-up on Invoice resolution.
- Responsible for Contract renewals, review scope of work and required service level with end users, discuss and review contract terms and conditions with Suppliers and ensure Legal considerations are included in the contract
- Responsible for Qualification of New Ingredient/Packaging Materials/Key Services and Supplies; include supplier and material changes that require Change Control in the plant
- Ensure adherence with purchasing controls and drive compliance with Purchasing policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Global Procurement Category teams to align site sourcing activities with category strategies and strategic sourcing priorities.
- Identify and develop opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and value, including cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives.
- Conduct tenders and RFx activities (RFI/RFP/RFQ); consolidate responses, perform bid analysis, and recommend contract awards.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements, review statements of work, and establish service level expectations prior to services sourcing.
- Conduct supplier assessments and negotiate pricing, contract terms, and conditions; liaise with Legal and Risk Management on vendor contracts as required.
- Convert and approve shopping carts and purchase requisitions into compliant purchase orders; manage user enquiries and follow up with suppliers on delivery requirements.
- Manage supplier payment terms to support site cash‑flow objectives.
- Monitor the quality and performance of goods and services delivered; actively manage supplier relationships and performance for critical supplies.
- Support qualification of new suppliers and materials, including change control activities, to ensure production requirements are met.
- Document and review purchasing policies and procedures; drive compliance through periodic internal audits and support Finance and Quality audits.
- Ensure adherence to procurement controls and support audit readiness across all sourcing and purchasing activities.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of purchasing master data in ERP systems
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business or Supply chain or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 3-5 years of experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain functions; indirect procurement exposure is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay processes, including RFx execution, negotiations, contract management, and purchase order execution.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP and e‑procurement systems (e.g. SAP, SRM) or similar platforms are an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers, influence without authority, and operate effectively in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently under tight timelines.
