Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking an experienced, hands-on Unit Manager, MRD – Mechanical Reduction to lead mechanical reduction and processing operations at our precious metals recycling and refining facility in Fairless Hills, PA.
This role is ideal for an operations leader who thrives in an industrial environment and is ready to make a measurable impact on safety, production, equipment reliability, team development, and continuous improvement.
As Unit Manager, MRD – Mechanical Reduction, you will:
• Lead daily mechanical reduction, material preparation, and processing operations
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to production teams and supervisors
• Champion a strong, proactive safety culture
• Monitor and improve throughput, equipment performance, and operational efficiency
• Coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment reliability improvements
• Identify opportunities to improve production flow and mechanical processing performance
• Track production results, operational records, and key performance metrics
• Partner with Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, and Operations teams to achieve plant goals
• Evaluate equipment and processes to drive continuous improvement
• Build accountability and support a reliable, efficient, and high-performing operation
✓ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
✓ 5+ years of experience in mechanical processing, metals recycling, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
✓ Previous leadership or supervisory experience in production operations
✓ Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, material handling systems, and industrial processes
✓ Experience improving operational performance and equipment reliability
✓ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
✓ Ability to work effectively in a hands-on plant environment
