→Provide overall direction, communication, and control for the maintenance/engineering division for all out-of-service aircraft, accidents/incidents, maintenance delays/cancellations, returns/diversions due to mechanical issues, and other maintenance irregularities
→Notify maintenance executive staff and prepare reports for all irregularities/accidents/incidents
→Authorize deferral of inoperative aircraft equipment in accordance with FAA MEL/CDL requirements
→responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and safe operation of all ABX aircraft systemwide

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
A & P license
Eight (8) years experience in the maintenance of heavy transport aircraft of which 2 years were as a maintenance controller or supervisor in a line maintenance environment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Very good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with ABX network, Word, Excel, Focus
Comprehensive knowledge of Maintenance Control aircraft systems and ABX operations
Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and ABX Maintenance Control procedures and processes
Ability to travel
