Location: Westchester, NY Hours: Monday- Friday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Pay: $27.00 OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Clinical Support Staff for the Ulster County Youth ACT Team who has experience supporting children and emerging adults ages 10–21 navigating symptoms of Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in a collaborative team to provide intensive and highly coordinated interventions to address the significant needs of youth at risk of entering, or returning home from, high-intensity services such as inpatient or residential care. Youth ACT services are delivered in the home, school, or community-based settings using a multidisciplinary approach to support youth and families in achieving sustainable success. The Clinical Support Staff will play an integral role in supporting therapeutic treatment goals by providing targeted skill development, training, and education to enhance a young person’s ability to manage health and mental health needs, build pre-vocational and vocational skills, and engage in prosocial activities. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: • Deliver trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically competent care that supports recovery.• Conduct Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessments and Stanley Brown Safety Plans.• Provide crisis intervention, including participation in a weekly on-call rotation.• Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress notes in accordance with regulatory and agency standards.• Participate in daily team meetings and clinical discussions to ensure coordinated care.• Communicate with schools, medical personnel, and other treatment-adjacent providers as appropriate.• Follow all established organizational, regulatory, and oversight policies, procedures, and guidelines. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT: • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive service delivery.• Support outreach and engagement efforts to maintain connection with youth and families.• Participate in quality improvement activities and program development initiatives.• Attend ongoing training and supervision to enhance professional growth and service quality. QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES: The ideal candidate:• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree and has at least one year of relevant experience.• Possesses a valid Driver’s License, has reliable transportation, and is willing to transport clients in their own vehicle.• Demonstrates computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn/utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR).• Can work independently while maintaining strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.• Is flexible, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.• Works effectively as a team player with colleagues, community partners, and other providers.• Is committed to ongoing professional training and development.• Has experience providing case management (e.g., assisting with Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP Benefits applications); preferred.• Is bilingual (English/Spanish); preferred. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.• Preferred: One or more years of experience working with youth experiencing Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) or in community-based behavioral health settings.
