Accounting Intern

Position Overview:
 AccuWeather is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations.The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to learn how finance drives decision-making in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reporting, and reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records 
• Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts 
• Assist with audits and compliance documentation 
• Help automate and improve financial reporting processes and dashboards
• Collaborate with team members on special finance projects 
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of accounting activities

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
• Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or coursework in accounting/finance
