We're looking for a passionate Mobile App Developer (React Native) to drive our product forward and help us scale.
Founded in 2024, acemate has quickly become the leading AI learning platform for higher and further education, trusted by top-tier institutions across four countries, including University of Cologne, WHU and the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs).

Responsibilities
~1 min readJoining as an early-stage Mobile Software Developer, you'll take heavy ownership of the app's architecture and user experience. You will build out our mobile technical foundation from scratch, making the key decisions on UI architecture, state management, API integration, and performance monitoring.
- →Own the product beyond the interface: You will take full accountability for your features from end to end. This means managing complex local state, building smooth user journeys, and ensuring native-level performance. You're going to write, ship, and iterate on your own code.
- →Design scalable, smart architecture: You will build out a robust mobile foundation using patterns like MVVM or TCA to connect seamlessly with our Effect-based backend and AI systems. Expect to tackle tough engineering challenges involving real-time synchronization, offline-first capabilities, and streaming AI responses.
- →Keep the technical bar high: You'll actively hunt down and fix performance issues like sluggish render cycles or slow app startup times. At the same time, you'll push for better maintainability, strict type safety, and a consistent UX throughout the codebase.
Requirements

- Startup experience: You’re comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Balanced AI approach: You knew how to code before Cursor and Claude Code, but understand how to leverage them effectively
