Acorn Health is looking for a Regional Director of Clinical Operations to join our Team! Join a company focused on delivering high-quality services to its clients and supporting the professional development of its employees! This position is remote and requires the ideal candidate to travel and visit our different locations within the assigned region.
The Regional Director of Clinical Operations maintains responsibility for the execution and oversight of the region’s clinical operations functions, inclusive of P&L, and drives regional accountability related to tenet adherence and clinical compliance, client outcomes and satisfaction, and ensures families transition from care when clinically ready and not before.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Fluent in interpretation and improvement of multi-source data (Power BI dashboards, Central Reach, etc.); uses available tools to monitor and action against clinical operations trends
- →Partner with and hold regional cross functional subject matter experts (Clinical, People and Culture, HRBPs, ) accountable to develop and drive efficiencies against cross-functional processes, workflows, and KPIs
- →Drive adherence to company-wide and market-specific policies and procedures
- →POC for large-scale/top referral partners; hold catchment accountable for gaining and maintaining strong local referral relationships
- →Serve as clinical operations lead, partnering with National Director of Growth, for acquisitions and de novo growth within region(s)
- →Performs other related duties as assigned
- Drive regional adherence to our evolving clinical tenets, refined based on Acorn client outcomes, inclusive of ensuring region(s) meet Family Guidance minimum requirements
- Own full P&L for region(s), responsible for executing against margin/EBITDA targets and other performance related metrics
- Manage fixed costs (e.g., moving a supervisor to a different center, hiring a new salaried employee, etc.) and ensure the optimization of available resources
- Assist in improving upon the strategy and framework for aligning the clinical assessment, treatment plan, and prescription request, specifically focusing on client prescription fulfillment and related implications
- Drive accountability to clinical outcome measure completion, measure regional client progress in relation to client outcomes, and execute clinical initiatives to drive improved outcomes
- Monitor risk factors correlated with AMA discharge and work to mitigate these risk factors, ensuring families transition from care when clinically ready
- Ensure Acorn Health is providing high-quality and ethical care to all clients in assigned region(s) by following industry standards and regulations, insurance/payor requirements, as well as our own clinical policies and procedures
- Oversee adherence and compliance with external regulations, guidelines, and requirements (e.g., accrediting bodies such as the BHCOE, CASP, BACB, ANSI, professional standards, )
- Drive regional clinical and compliance improvement at the center level via quarterly Clinical Health Scorecard data
- Support direct reports with Clinical Success Meetings, caregiver grievance conversations, and Case Conceptualization
- Hold RCM accountable to authorization and credentialing service level agreements
- Lead, develop, mentor and engage a team of center leads to execute against the clinical operations strategy. Responsible for driving performance and coaching/development
- Serve as the regional clinical subject matter expert for assigned region, develop and facilitate clinical review meetings with identified clinicians and clients requiring additional clinical supports
- Culture and engagement champion, driving all People and Culture initiatives for region(s) in partnership with center leads
- Provide ongoing clinical guidance and mentorship to identified clinicians to achieve socially significant outcomes
- Foster a metrics driven culture, ensuring KPIs of direct reports align with overall enterprise strategy
- Conduct meetings using meeting checklists and scorecards, using structured approach (e.g., EOS). Hold region(s) accountable for doing the same; ensure meetings are highly productive and actionable via regular audits and feedback
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of web metrics and digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data
- Displays effective time management, including managing several projects at a time and meeting determined deadlines
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, and demonstrate an ability to maintain confidential records, prepare reports, and reliably develop timely correspondence related to work according to agency standards
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Must possess a minimum of a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA), or a related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required minimum of 3 years
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an operational leadership role with experience owning P&L and leading teams, preferably within PE-backed healthcare
- Extensive multi-site operational leadership experience is required
- Ideally licensed to practice within given region(s)
- Understanding of industry best practices
