We are accepting applications for the following position:
Responsible for general cashiering activities, administrative support, and assisting with
government submissions. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy in financial transactions,
operational efficiency, and compliance with all applicable legislation and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform general cashiering duties, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of all transactions.
- Reconcile discrepancies in transaction records and promptly investigate variances.
- Process reimbursements, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare cheques for work permit submissions and annual government payments.
- Collect refund cheques from WORC and ensure timely deposit into the company’s bank account.
- Assist with work permit duties, including documentation preparation and follow-up.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to government departments.
- Monitor inventory levels and order office supplies to ensure smooth office operations
- Communicate effectively with departmental managers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare internal reports as requested by management.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven experience in cashiering, accounting support, or administrative assistance.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and transaction reconciliation.
- Experience with cheque preparation and bank deposits is an asset.
- Familiarity with work permit processes or government submissions is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar office software.
- Trustworthy, dependable, and professional demeanor.
