Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) PRN Nights

JourneyCare Hospice is hiring an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN night shift role in Barrington, IL. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to provide meaningful end-of-life care in a supportive team environment.

• Location: Barrington, IL
• Position type: PRN (as-needed)
• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Minimum requirement: 2 shifts per month (additional shifts available and preferred)
• Pay: Up to $46.63/hour - offer based on experience
• Shift differentials: +$2.50/hour (weeknights), +$5.00/hour (weekend nights)

• →Provide skilled hospice nursing care, including patient assessment, admissions, and care planning
• →Manage a hospice caseload and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• →Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and families
• →Communicate with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care
• →Perform nursing interventions and follow physician-directed treatment plans
• →Conduct follow-up visits and update patient care plans as needed
• →Provide end-of-life care, including clinical pronouncement and family support
• →Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

• Hospice experience required (applicants without hospice experience will not be considered)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
