At Day City Hospice, we are a locally operated, patient-centered hospice provider dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care throughout the Dayton community and surrounding areas. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No evenings or weekends required

Responsibilities

→Provide direct personal care to hospice patients in home settings
→Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral care
→Support patient safety and proper use of medical equipment
→Prepare meals and assist with feeding and nutrition as needed
→Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure) as directed
→Monitor skin integrity and assist in preventing breakdown
→Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN Case Manager
→Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families
→Offer respite care for caregivers

Requirements

Minimum 16 years of age
Active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Listed on the state nurse aide registry in good standing
Current BLS certification
Understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
Strong communication, compassion, and reliability

Experience in hospice, home health, or long-term care
Comfort providing care to terminally ill patients
