JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Certified Nurse Midwife Specialty: Certified Nurse Midwife - General Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Arcata, CA 95521 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Maternity / Paternity Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 18 patients/day Case Mix: High-Risk and Low-Risk OB, Newborn care FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: 30-90 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required Licenses: Licensed in CA DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: BLS, NPR Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the office preferred Other Qualifications: Proficiency in dating ultrasounds, EPIC experience preferred Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient clinical care for high-risk and low-risk OB patients Perform dating ultrasounds Provide newborn care Maintain chart closure within 72 hours Collaborate with clinical team in an outpatient setting
