JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Child & Adolescent Psychiatry • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Mansfield Center, CT • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 09/07/2026 – 01/01/2027 • Clinical Shift Schedule: TBD; 40 Hours per Week PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Children and Adolescents • Patient Volume/Census: TBD • Admissions: Included • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: Inpatient Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: TBD • Office Equipment Available: Standard Inpatient Behavioral Health Resources • Specialty Backup Available: Behavioral Health Support Services • Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary Inpatient Behavioral Health Team PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Psychiatric Evaluations • Medication Management • Treatment Planning and Care Coordination JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active Connecticut Medical License or Ability to Obtain • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry • Active DEA • Board Certification in Psychiatry Preferred • Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Experience (Preferred) • Ability to Manage Acute Psychiatric Conditions in an Inpatient Setting DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide Psychiatric Care to Child and Adolescent Inpatients • Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations and Assessments • Develop and Manage Treatment Plans • Prescribe and Monitor Psychiatric Medications • Collaborate with Nursing, Therapy, and Behavioral Health Staff • Complete Timely and Accurate Clinical Documentation • Participate in Multidisciplinary Treatment Team Meetings
