JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Critical Care Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Washington, MO 63090 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Jul 27, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p, -5-10 shifts per month Call Type: 2nd Call / Backup Call Response Time: 60 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 12-16 patients/day Rounding: Assigned Patients FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: PA/NPs: 1 am 1 pm PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Certified) Licenses: Licensed in MO or Universal License (IMLC) Certifications: BLS, ATLS Fellowship: Preferred Duties & Responsibilities Provide critical care coverage for 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p, 5-10 shifts per month. Manage assigned patients in the ICU, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring. Perform critical care procedures such as central line placement, arterial lines, and intubations. Collaborate with on-call backup and support staff, including PA/NPs. Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR.
