JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine (ABEM) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Winchester, VA • Service Setting: Emergency Room / Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 10/01/2026 – 10/01/2027 • Clinical Shift Schedule: - 7:00a – 7:00p - 9:00a – 8:00p - 10:00a – 10:00p - 1:00p – 1:00a - 4:00p – 3:00a - 7:00p – 7:00a PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Volume/Census: TBD • Admissions: Yes • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 495-bed regional referral facility • Trauma Level: Level 3 • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department equipment • Support Staff Available: Emergency Department clinical staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Emergency stabilization and treatment • Airway management • Standard Emergency Medicine procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active unrestricted state medical license required • ABEM Board Certified required • DEA: Active DEA required • Emergency Medicine experience required • SCP approved for IMLC as of 05/15/2026 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages • Perform emergency stabilization and emergency procedures as needed • Document patient encounters accurately within Epic EMR • Collaborate with Emergency Department staff and ancillary services • Maintain compliance with facility credentialing requirements across all Valley Health sites
