JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Mansfield Center, CT • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 07/01/2026 – 01/01/2027 • Clinical Shift Schedule: TBD; Full-Time PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adult Behavioral Health Patients • Patient Volume/Census: 10–12 Patients Daily • Admissions: Included • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: Adult Inpatient Psychiatry FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 56 Beds • EMR System: TBD • Office Equipment Available: Standard Inpatient Behavioral Health Resources • Specialty Backup Available: Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services • Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Team PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Comprehensive Physical Examinations • Medical Evaluations and Assessments • Ongoing Medical Management of Psychiatric Inpatients JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active Connecticut Nurse Practitioner License • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (Preferred) • Active DEA (Preferred) • Current NP Certification • Inpatient Psychiatry or Behavioral Health Experience (Preferred) • Ability to Independently Perform Physicals and Oversee Medical Care for Psychiatric Inpatients DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide Medical Oversight for Adult Psychiatric Inpatients • Conduct Admission and Follow-Up Physical Examinations • Evaluate and Manage Medical Conditions of Behavioral Health Patients • Collaborate with Psychiatry, Nursing, and Behavioral Health Staff • Document Patient Encounters and Treatment Plans • Participate in Multidisciplinary Care Planning
