JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hematology/Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Minneapolis, MN • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a – 4:30p • On-Call Shift Schedule: Weeklong call rotation - Mon 8a – Mon 8a; overnight call from home • Call Type: Beeper/Home Call • Call Ratio: Weekly rotation PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Volume/Census: 20–40 patients per day • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: Malignant and benign oncology, hematology consults FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 590 beds • Trauma Level: Level III–IV • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard oncology equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalists, oncology team • Support Staff Available: APPs (1 weekday, 1 weekend) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (multiple sites) • Temporary Privileges Available: TBD • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Medical oncology management • Hematology consults • Inpatient oncology care JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active MN license or IMLC required • Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology • DEA: Required • Certifications: BLS or ACLS • Experience: Minimum 2 years required • Other Qualifications: Epic experience required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead inpatient medical oncology team • Manage oncology and hematology patients • Supervise APPs and support staff • Provide consults and inpatient coverage • Participate in call rotation and respond to patient needs
