Registered Nurse (RN)

Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing services in a school setting located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Job Quick Facts: • ID: BD-1321-01 • Profession: Nursing • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) • Location: Chesapeake, Virginia • Facility Type: School • Job Type: Contract • Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 hours a day • Rate: $45/hr Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) • Current, active, and unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license (or multi-state compact license) • Current CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification • Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics, school nursing, emergency, or public health • Demonstrated clinical competency in school-based healthcare needs, including but not limited to:Tracheostomy care, Suctioning Seizure management, Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care, Asthma/allergy/oxygen management, Diabetes care, Catheterization and ostomy care Responsibilities: • Provide care aligned with student medical needs (e.g., trach, seizures, G-tubes, diabetes) • Following compliance and documentation standards • Supporting student safety and well-being • Adhering to district policies • Any other duties as assigned
