Pediatric Dietitian (Ref#060)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pediatric Dietitian  to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be expected to provide expert care and assess patient nutritional needs through established care plans, appropriate therapeutic

diet or nutrition support regimen. As well as maintain professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Initiates or participates in quality improvement activities to enhance nutrition care that is safe and effective.
• Highlights Food-Drug interaction and document to Clinical staff & in the Medical chart.
• Participates in continuous learning to update knowledge of current developments in clinical nutrition continuing education requirements, as per Saudi Commission for Health Specialties requirements.
• Participates in self and others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Calculates patients’ Nutritional needs to determine the optimal Nutritional Supplement for both oral and tube feeding.
• Using Standards of Practice, evaluates nutrition status of patients and prescribes, implements, evaluates (initial and ongoing), and documents an appropriate nutritional care plan in a timely manner.
• Contributes to an inter-disciplinary approach to patient care. Attends rounds and team conferences to exchange information related to patient care and discharge planning.
• Educates patients and family members on appropriate diet modification and provides educational materials accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition is required.
• Experience Required: One (1) year of related experience with Master’s or three (3) years with Bachelor’s Degree.
• Licensing: 
  • Valid license from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and families
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and nutrition assessment tools
