Position Summary:
Responsible for the immediate supervision and management of all registration processes, staffing, payroll, up-front collections, insurance verification, emergency registration functions, scheduling and limited authorization and the switchboard communication system for the hospital. The position is also responsible for daily supervision of data collection, patient rights and responsibilities, legal consents, HFAP regulations and third-party payor regulations in these areas. Responsibilities also include participation in policy development, competency assessment, training programs, regulatory compliance, and financial responsibility, project and change management skills under the direction of the AVP of Revenue Cycle.
Information Systems:
Participates in planning, designing, coordination and implementation of Meditech modules. Acts as Meditech Module liaison between departments to assist with development, design, testing, and troubleshooting modules and data interface. Prepares various quality reports (i.e., insurance eligibility, etc.) and agendas, as necessary. Designs and prepares Meditech Module reports for various departments. Supporting users on change control and system updates for hospital. In some cases, provides trainings and development of user manuals and troubleshooting problems to clinic and specialty clinics. Works closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction for implementation of new software or regular upgrades Responsible for mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems as a support member for Information Systems. Requires strong working knowledge of all facility appointments including reporting and data mining. Responsible for all ADM Meditech dictionaries and system upgrades for Patient Access. Effective quality improvement programs are implemented and reviewed on a regular basis with alt Staff.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop team members and produce outstanding results. Patient Access experience and minimum 5 years management experience required. Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service required. Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree or equivalent experience required. Meditech knowledge required with experience building dictionaries and training super users on modules.

Salary Range:
$75,000 - $90,000 Annual Equivalent
