Head Lifeguard

Position Summary:

The Head Lifeguard is accountable for the supervision and coordination of lifeguards, programs and activities conducted in the facility’s aquatics area, working in collaboration with the Fitness Program Coordinator, also to assist in ensuring the pool is well maintained in collaboration with Spaulding Pools acting as the liaison between them and medical fitness management as well as the front desk supervisor and staff.  

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications/Experience:

Experienced and dedicated aquatic professional with over three years of experience as a certified Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred. Proven leadership in supervisory roles within health, fitness, and aquatics environments preferred. Adept at managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safety, engagement, and operational excellence in high-demand settings. Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, train, and motivate staff effectively. Flexible availability, including remote work, early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

• Preferred current, Red Cross or other nationally recognized aquatics certification.
• Certification as an aquatics facility operator, and or/water safety instructor. Both may be completed within the first year of the position.
• Advanced life-saving and/or Red Cross lifeguard certification
• AED/CPR certification

Salary Range:

$23.00-$27.00 per hour
