Position Summary:
The Network Support Specialist is responsible for implementing, supporting, monitoring, configuring, and maintaining the organization's computer networks, telecommunications systems, and network security infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the reliable day-to-day operation of network services while providing technical support to meet current business needs. The Network Support Specialist installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots network hardware, software, and related systems to support organizational operations.
The Network Support Specialist performs a variety of technical tasks including installing and maintaining network hardware, troubleshooting network and server issues, supporting software and hardware, managing network services, supporting network and telecommunications infrastructure, monitoring system performance, maintaining network security, managing user accounts, and performing system backup and recovery activities. The goal of this position is to maintain the integrity, availability, and performance of the organization's network infrastructure through proactive maintenance, timely issue resolution, continual service improvement, and collaboration with the IT Department and organizational staff.
This role participates in an on-call rotation. This is an on-premises position. This position requires occasional after-hours availability to complete scheduled network maintenance, system upgrades, and infrastructure installations with minimal operational impact.

The Network Support Specialist must demonstrate working knowledge of computer networks, servers, security, and related information systems through professional experience in at least two of the following areas: server administration, networking, security, or virtualization. The individual must demonstrate strong logical reasoning, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.
Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability. A+/Network+, Cisco CCNA certifications desired.

Salary Range:
$31.00-$38.00 per hour (based on experience)
