Our team is at the forefront of integrating large language models into the Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), enabling personalized experiences at scale. Responsibilities

  • Lead the build and architecture of backend services and AI-powered systems for AJO.
  • Transform open-ended product requirements into clear technical builds.
  • Build and operate MCP servers and AI model integrations.
  • Ensure AI features are reliable and performant in production.
  • Contribute to core backend services, improving code quality and maintainability.
  • Mentor team members and lead technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in crafting and operating production backend systems.
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API build, and performance.
  • Proficiency in a modern backend language and cloud-native services.
  • Experience integrating LLMs or AI services into production software.
  • Hands-on use of coding agents and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Effective communication skills across various teams and collaborators.
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies.
  • Preferred qualifications: Experience with AI orchestration patterns and event-driven architectures.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $139,000 -- $257,550 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

 

In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
