Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Attend and actively participate in hospital Bedside Care Plan Visits on all patients on the hospital medicine service
- →Responds and participates in Code Blue and Rapid Responses
- →Provide admission services for the Emergency Department, incoming transfer patients, and direct or emergent admissions in accordance with the hospital on call schedule and patient assignment guidelines
- →Provide consultative and co-management services for subspecialty services when such services are within the scope and designation of privileges
- →Accept transfers of care from other clinical service lines if the patient is deemed appropriate for the hospital medicine service
- →Provide transfer center call for incoming patients in accordance with the hospital on call schedule
- →Provide timely evaluation of patients admitted to the hospital
- →Provide internal sign out consistent with standards of care
- →Participate in nursing and staff education when solicited by CNO, CMO, or COO
- →Respond to clinical queries in a timely fashion
- →Maintain current understanding of the regulatory environment related to patient status consistent with national guidelines
- →Encourage in network utilization of resources for continuity of care unless specified by the patient or expertise is not available in the system
- →Respond in a timely manner to communication from hospital staff
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
- →Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team and patient-centered
- →Inpatient APP experience preferred
- Graduate of MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program
- Federal and State Prescriptive Authority
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Current ACLS Certification
- Possess or have the ability to procure and maintain a Colorado Medical License
- Current DEA Licensure
