As a System Engineer, you work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering Industrial AI solutions from concept to deployment.

At Advian, we’re looking for a hands-on System Engineer to work on the hardware integration and deployment of Industrial AI solutions for our industrial customers. These solutions combine AI software, industrial automation, cameras and other sensors, and when needed, mechanical components.
You may still be early in your engineering career, but already have hands-on experience, the ability to work independently, and the motivation to grow into Industrial AI and Edge AI systems.
In this role, you’ll work on systems where software, hardware, and real-world environments come together — and see how your solutions perform in practice.

As a System Engineer, you work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering Industrial AI solutions from concept to deployment. Projects combine IoT, computer vision, real-time data, and industrial automation — and require close collaboration between software and hardware.
You take responsibility for the hardware and system integration aspects of Edge AI projects, ensuring that solutions are technically sound, well-integrated, and reliable in real-world industrial environments.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design installation, including selection of electronic components and devices
- →Procure, testing, configuring, and calibrating equipment
- →Deploy and commission solutions in customer environments
- →PLC programming and automation integration
- →Support mechanical design when needed (e.g. 3D printing)
- →Produce and maintain technical documentation
- →Maintain lab environments and equipment
- →Support other experts in electronics and automation topics
- Practical understanding of industrial hardware, networking and device integrations
- Experience in industrial automation, PLC programming and communication protocols
- Structured and detail-oriented way of working
- Interest in hands-on work with hardware and systems in real-world environments
- Ability and willingness to produce clear technical documentation
- Fluent Finnish and ability to work on-site in Espoo when needed
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with mechanical design and CAD tools
- Interest or experience in computer vision or camera-based systems
- Basic programming skills (e.g. Python)
You’ll work on real-world systems that are deployed to production environments, while developing your skills across hardware, automation, and AI together with experienced colleagues.
