The Fleet and Equipment Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of fleet assets, equipment, and related corporate services. This role supports the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of vehicles, tools, and equipment across the organization.
This position helps ensure strong asset control, reliable equipment availability, maintenance coordination, and effective fleet management practices that support business performance and operational continuity. The Fleet and Equipment Manager acts as a trusted partner to operational and leadership teams, balancing day-to-day oversight with strategic planning for asset utilization, lifecycle management, and service reliability
Under the general direction, the Fleet & Equipment Manager organizes, monitors, and ensures compliance of equipment and fleet operations for AFL Constructions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of staff in the fleet department
- Recommends hiring, promotion, discipline and other
- Establishes specific goals , objects, and policies for the management of the AFLCS’ vehicle fleet to include maintenance, cleanliness and safety
- Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
- Makes strategic short and long-term plans for resource requirements
- Provide support to the construction’s team regarding all equipment related issues
- Develops and coordinates training to the employees in motor vehicle operations, maintenance and safety
- Monitors vehicle gas consumption, maintenance, registrations, and accident costs
- Selects vendors and appropriately maintains vendor relationships, which includes management of suppliers for fleet repair
- Identify and monitor equipment sent to outside sources for repairs
- Performs other related duties as required
- Enhancing Organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL

Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in asset management
- Experience in fleet, equipment or operations management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to travel to various site-based projects if required
Working Conditions
- General hours of Monday through Friday 7:00am to 6:00 pm – but must be flexible to work shifts including evenings and weekend
