AG1 is seeking a Director, HRBP - International to serve as a strategic People partner across our international markets, spanning Europe through APAC. This role will work closely with leaders and team members to build high-performing organizations, strengthen the team member experience, and ensure our people strategies enable sustainable business growth across diverse markets.

Reporting to the VP, HR Business Partners, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business priorities into practical people strategies across organizational design, workforce planning, talent and performance management, succession planning, engagement, employee relations, and change management. You will partner closely with colleagues across the global People team to ensure AG1 programs and practices are applied consistently while thoughtfully adapting to local market needs and requirements.

This role requires strong international HR leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with both strategic perspective and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of international employment practices and local regulatory considerations, a data-informed approach to decision making, and a track record of building trusted relationships across geographically dispersed teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for leaders and teams across AG1 international markets, spanning Europe through APAC.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, providing coaching, guidance, and practical solutions that strengthen organizational effectiveness and business performance.
  • Develop and execute people strategies that align with business priorities, global People team programs, and the needs of individual international markets.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of business strategies, goals, organizational dynamics, and talent needs to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
  • Apply and maintain strong knowledge of international employment practices, regulations, and market-specific requirements, partnering with internal and external experts as appropriate.
  • Advise leaders on complex employee relations matters, organizational changes, performance concerns, and other people decisions with sound judgment and consistency.
  • Ensure local practices align with AG1 policies, principles, and global People team standards while appropriately reflecting regional requirements.
  • Support the continued evolution of scalable people practices as AG1 grows across international markets.
  • Lead workforce planning, organizational design, talent planning, and succession planning in partnership with business leaders.
  • Guide leaders through AG1 talent and performance processes, helping build a high-performance culture grounded in clear expectations, continuous feedback, accountability, and development.
  • Identify talent and capability gaps and partner across the People team on solutions including hiring, onboarding, development, career progression, and retention.
  • Support organizational change and transformation, helping leaders navigate change effectively and maintain strong team engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and team members and help foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment across international markets.
  • Coach leaders on effective people leadership, team effectiveness, feedback, engagement, and development.
  • Promote AG1 mission, values, and leadership expectations through consistent people practices and decision making.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, retention, productivity, and the overall team member experience.
  • Partner closely with Total Rewards, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and other People team capabilities to deliver integrated solutions for the business.
  • Drive understanding, adoption, and consistent execution of global People programs, including talent reviews, performance management, compensation processes, learning and development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Use people data, trends, and business insights to identify priorities, recommend actions, and measure the impact of people initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve HRBP processes, ways of working, and the value the People team delivers to the business.

 

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience operating as an HR Business Partner or senior People leader.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple international markets, ideally across both Europe and APAC.
  • Strong working knowledge of international employment practices and the ability to navigate country-specific employment laws and requirements in partnership with appropriate experts.
  • Broad HR expertise across organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, performance management, succession planning, engagement, and change management.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence senior leaders, build trusted relationships, and navigate complex or sensitive people matters.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth, and geographically dispersed organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, paired with a hands-on and practical approach to execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-informed approach to identifying priorities and recommending actions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams at once.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally across People team specialties and with leaders throughout the business.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex people topics into clear and actionable guidance.
  • Fluency in English required. Additional language capabilities relevant to AG1 international markets are a plus.
  • Relevant HR certification or equivalent professional credential preferred.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is €130,000.00 - €150,000.00 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
