In addition to high-end custom residential builds and commercial contracting, they operate a specialized paint division and an in-house proprietary cabinet line. Operating with a lean, efficient team structure, the company is built on absolute transparency and honesty—firmly rejecting the industry trend of under-bidding projects just to hit clients with change orders later. They focus on delivering meticulously accurate, value-driven bids that build long-term trust with their clients.

We are seeking a highly meticulous and analytical Remote Construction Estimator to join a growing operations team. In this role, you will work directly alongside the business owner to take over the day-to-day estimating pipeline, freeing up leadership to focus on field management and scaling operations. You will own the full takeoff and pre-construction lifecycle for both high-end custom homes ($1M–$3.2M+) and commercial tenant improvements (TI). The ideal candidate is a "nitty-gritty" detail guru who practices intense due diligence, ensuring no finish, specialized trade, or scope detail is ever missed.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive and highly accurate material takeoffs from structural and architectural plans for high-end custom residential builds and commercial build-outs.

Manage the complete pre-construction pipeline, including thorough bid preparation, compiling submittal packages, managing RFIs, and tracking document revisions.

Lead vendor outreach and subcontractor coordination to source reliable, honest pricing and eliminate downstream scope gaps.

Integrate data smoothly into the client's internal processes and learn to navigate their custom-built, proprietary bidding software/system.

Meticulously review project documentation to execute bulletproof double-checks, ensuring final bids are fully transparent and inclusive of all specialized components.

High-end custom residential builds ($1M–$3.2M+ scope)
Commercial tenant improvements (TI) and full commercial build-outs
Commercial kitchen builds (incorporating complex systems like commercial exhaust hoods and specialized equipment)
Multi-divisional coordination involving custom cabinetry and specialized finishes

Requirements

Experience: 3 to 10+ years of dedicated construction estimating experience, with extensive exposure to U.S.-based projects and market context.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field.
Niche Expertise: Demonstrated experience estimating high-end custom residential projects and complex commercial build-outs (commercial kitchen estimation experience is highly valued).
Software Proficiency: Highly fluent in industry-standard takeoff tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff (OST), with a strong aptitude for adapting to proprietary digital systems.
Communication & Alignment: Absolute bilingual fluency in English (written and spoken) for seamless internal reporting and professional vendor/subcontractor collaboration.
