This position will be responsible for safety administration as well as inventory and quality of rebag and retag products at the site.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Process and Safety
- →Coordinate and conduct Safety and QMS training programs as required
- →Ensure all annual Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and QMS training and testing are conducted and documented as required
- →Update department-wide and site-specific quality procedures/forms as needed
- →Assist Location Manager in ensuring compliance for QMS
- →Maintain training records as required by Corporate Health & Safety
- →Manage record retention for quality and safety records
- →Inventory and Quality

- →Initiate and manage all inventory creation activities of rebag, retag, and disposals
- →Manage of all sample creation, testing requirements, and test data analysis
- →Create and communicate suspect lists for all lots with substandard data to the logistics department
- →Partner with the site Shipping, Transportation and Warehouse Coordinator to integrate all physical inventory activities into the software support database
- →Direct, oversee, and report on a monthly program of cycle counting.
- →Manage and procure all supply items needed to support site operations, including but not limited to bags, tags, and all misc. supply items
- →Assume leadership role in GDM’s safety culture and ensure safety standards are being followed in the workplace.
- →Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- →Other duties as assigned

- Computer and technical skills related to efficiency and maintenance programs
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 or more years of experience in seed production, quality and inventory management, or safety and compliance is preferred
- Experience in the seed production industry preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements
Responsibilities

Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 5% with minimal overnight travel
- Ability to work required hours and shifts
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
The approximate pay range in Illinois for this position is $21.54 to $26.92 an hour. Performance-based incentives are available based on individual and company achievements. Final compensation for a candidate is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
