Reporting to the Sales Director, the Internal Sales is responsible for managing and growing existing Sensient Essential Oils accounts assigned to him/her within the scope of the Strategy determined by the Company. The particularity of this sales role is that it is sedentary, and focused on existing clients. Apart from exceptions to be considered, such as attendance to an exhibition, the Internal Sales role is not required to travel and visit clients.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Determining your Sales Tactics for your assigned clients, in coordination with your Sales Director
- →Developing a realistic Sales Budget, and ensuring a regular follow-up on sales targets
- →Maintaining and growing existing business for achieving sales objectives
- →Regularly contacting by phone and by videoconference your existing customer base and potential customers, putting a higher attention on your most potential accounts and hottest projects
- →Acting as a project manager for all customer facing activities, coordinating the assistance of the support departments that enable Sensient to provide a good customer service
- →Generating concrete and potential projects at your accounts, taking into accounts the Service grid available according to the Category of your clients (mostly C & D), sharing them internally, coordinating the adequate response with the relevant internal parties (R&D, marketing, regulatory, etc.) and following up closely to maximize your projects pipeline and win rate
- →Participating actively to specific Sales Actions determined by your Sales Director, such as destocking, promoting actions, etc.
- →Negotiating prices and sales conditions (payment terms, MOQ, etc.) with the goal to maximize your sales (turnover and gross margins)
- →Validating incoming orders and client information
- →Sharing regularly forecasts internally and communicating immediately about any big change (wins and losses) to allow our team to adjust their purchasing and stocking decisions
- →Reporting regularly (monthly and under request) to your Sales Director your sales, main business variations, main wins and losses, key activities, agenda of calls and virtual visits (videoconference) for the coming weeks, market intelligence (trends, competition, etc.), and answering any additional question
- Bachelor’s degree from a prominent university, or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of five years professional experience.
- Demonstrable successful business and sales experience, preferably in the fragrance, specialty ingredients or specialty chemical industries
- Demonstrable sales experience towards the fields of F&F (flavor & fragrance houses) and/or personal care
- Good communicative skills by phone and by videoconference
- Good writing skills, in English particularly
- Well organized and structured, able to prioritize tasks
- Have the ability to work with a team
- A good relationship builder
- A winning mentality
Requirements

- Job office based at Milton Keynes, UK or Barcelona (Sensient EO offices)
