Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the team in Beira Mozambique. The incumbent will be responsible for  the day to day administrative operations of the human resources department, ensuring smooth processes, accurate record-keeping and adherence to company policies and procedures.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight the incumbent will need to display the following:


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 


Essential

  • Organize and maintain employee records
  • Update internal databases
  • Assist with employee queries about HR-related issues
  • Petty cash management
  • Leave administration
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other departments, employees and guests
  • Accuracy and detail orientated (processing hours and time sheets, expense reimbursements, timesheet auditing: verifying hours worked before processing
  • compensation, data integrity) strong organizational and time management skills and compliance awareness


Required Competencies

  • Strong people skills
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and individually
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quality: "Right first time approach" completes work to a high standard, continually looking for improvements and strong problem-solvers, high level of attention to detail is key within this role 
  • Project management: Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time to successfully meet deadlines
  • Managing uncertainties: Handles pressure and ambiguity well, exercises good judgment and handles challenges in a mature manner with confidentiality and discretion
  • Team Player / Interpersonal: Builds and maintains positive working relationships 
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Good interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills


Required Work Experience

  • Experience in Office Administrator or similar is advantageous
  • Financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word  


Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • An appropriate Degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years of experience in Office Administration


Required Languages

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
