  • Demonstrates fine motor skills, manual dexterity & attention to detail
  • Demonstrates problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrates reliability & dependability in completion of formal classroom training modules
  • Demonstrates ability to follow written & verbal directions, to interpret diagrams, and to correct errors
  • Demonstrates desire to learn trade of Aircraft Structures repair
  • Demonstrates ability & willingness to practice safe work procedures
  • Demonstrates ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations
  • Successful completion of AMES 12 week formal Aircraft Structures Trainee classroom program
  • Working knowledge of aircraft construction and repair principles
  • Basic computer proficiency accessing digital manuals, training materials, regulations, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and climb and sustain those positions for an extended period of time
  • Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet
  • Ability to work with arms raised above head and perform repetitive tasks and motions
  • Ability to fit in tight places
  • Ability to work in confined spaces with respiratory equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations

Nice to Have

  • Previous work experience in a maintenance or skilled trade environment
  • Previous experience interpreting diagrams and technical documentation or directions
  • Previous experience using hand tools
  • Prior hands-on experience in a heavy maintenance environment
  • Prior experience at a FAR Part 145 repair station
