The National Fleet M&R Manager is a role dedicated to driving industrial excellence across Air Liquide India’s bulk fleets. He orchestrates a multidisciplinary team of specialists to safeguard our License to Operate while maximizing asset performance.
By bridging the gap between local fleet maintenance and Air Liquide guide lines & standards, the National Fleet M&R Manager ensures that maintenance strategies are executed with precision and are also anchored in Asset Performance Management programs.
The core objectives are driving Operational Excellence through the establishment of strategic maintenance frameworks and the management of complex troubleshooting; reinforcing Reliability Fundamentals by embedding rigorous Root Cause Analysis and executing the AMEI Industrial strategy; spearheading Digital Transformation by integrating IT/OT product management and advanced digital tools; and exercising Collaborative Leadership to align cross-functional competencies with Facility Managers, ensuring maximum asset availability through optimized maintenance cycles.
  • To achieve “zero accidents” through leadership, active participation, and follow up of plant & fleet operation and maintenance. 

  • Guide to operation and maintenance team for the  implementation of GTs and GEs under CMRT responsibility for fleet operation and maintenance.  

  • Promotes safe behaviours. Sets up and reinforces the quality systems.

  • Process Owner for the GP-09 (Maintenance) under his purview. 

  • Support in investigation of RCA for required incidents/accidents & closer identified actions in time pertaining to Fleet Maintenance. 

  • Leads in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical rigor to achieve the reliability standards in bulk fleets across all India sites.

  • Follow-up on KPIs and objectives, conducting performance evaluations to ensure technical support meets the requirements.

  • Systematically reviews fleet performance with the team to identify technical gaps, implementing benchmarking with Air Liquide standards. 

  • Maps technical competency requirements for the team; oversees the qualification process and designs strategic training plans to bridge skill gaps in maintenance and reliability.

  • Facilitates "Experience Sharing" to ensure lessons learned at one site are shared and prevented at all other sites. 

  • Acts as the technical authority in the selection and hiring of maintenance specialists to ensure the CMRT maintains a high level of subject-matter expertise.

  • Serves as the primary advocate for reliability, using internal communication to drive enthusiasm for "zero-breakdown" mindsets and celebrate technical successes

  • Define and implement the national reliability strategy and maintenance roadmaps for Bulk fleets.

  • Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve overall fleet’s availability.

  • Establish and enforce uniform maintenance standards, procedures, and "Best Practices" across all locations.

  • Lead and mentor for the team to provide high-level troubleshooting and technical support.

  • Key assessor in investigations into major fleet Breakdown or recurring issues to ensure long-term corrective actions are implemented fleet-wide.

  • Ensure maintenance synergy and technical reliability for the Bulk transportation fleets and develop the new vendors

  • Sets the strategy, gives directions and targets, provides support in order to help the facilities to optimize maintenance. 

  • Optimize the maintenance OPEX/CAPEX spend by focusing on asset lifecycle management and reducing unplanned downtime.

  • To utilize “best practices” for the fleet maintenance and Reliability from the Group and promote them.

  • Ensure that VITT Maintenance process is effectively implemented in line with GP-09, including:

    • Process Owner for the implementation of GP-09 for VITT maintenance.

    • Establish a maintenance strategy, covering notably the maintenance approach, organization and spare parts management,

    • Plan and execute maintenance tasks,

    • Manage critical spare parts,

    • Implement a process to allow the industrial operations to keep assets in a safe and environmentally compliant condition, aligned with business expectations.

    • monitoring and evaluating the process effectiveness, in order to determine and implement improvement actions if necessary,

    • ensuring data and information related to the process performance are collected, analyzed and evaluated, and reviewed during management review meetings.

  • Effective utilization of MAXIMO tool for fleet maintenance and history.

  • Support in Maintaining spares for the Fleet Maintenance.

  • Closely work with procurement for vendor / contractor finalization for vehicles maintenance. 

  • Attend crisis and emergency situations such as (Roll-over, liquid spillage, Fatality).

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for industrial performance data for the Bulk fleets, ensuring seamless reporting and alignment between Air Liquide India operations and the AMEI Cluster.

  • The accuracy and consistency of all KPIs, providing the leadership team with reliable data for performance evaluation.

  • Oversees the tracking and validation of Quality Indicators, ensuring that reporting is timely and compliant with AL standards.

  • Manages the Management Information System (MIS) for the CMRT, translating complex maintenance data into actionable insights for Cluster and Group experts.

  • Bachelor’s of Engineering or Technology in Mechanical or Automobile with 8 to 10 years of experience in the field of fleet maintenance and Crisis management in Transportation industry or Cryogenics Industry.

  • Competencies

  • Knowledge in Fleets, Maintenance of VITTs. 

  • Knowledge in PESO and Transport vehicles Compliance.

  • Decision making skills.

  • Strong focus on execution
