Role Summary:
As a Catering Attendant you are responsible for ensuring expectational safety standards, quality and presentation standards are met for Air North's In-Flight Kitchen. The incumbent ensures daily meal production follows specifications and quantities while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Package take-out food
- Portion and wrap foods
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
Must haves:
- Minimum 3 years’ commercial kitchen operations and some baking experience
- Strong English communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a background check for airport security clearance
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be comfortable operating a cube van
- Food Safe Level 1 certification considered an asset
- Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
