Fabric- MFG Production - Night Shift Production Assistant

General Scope of Duties: We are currently seeking a reliable, hard-working production helper for our expanding operation. In this role, you will be a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and lift 50-75 lbs. on a regular basis. Why work at AstenJohnson? Excellent health benefits after 30 days! 401K with 50% up to 10% after 90 days Education Assistance Free Employee Discount Program Bonus program Stable and growing company where SAFETY’S first Responsibilities and Duties: Feed raw materials into production machinery Load and unload items from machines Ensure production requirements and standards are met consistently Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals Store goods and raw materials properly Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks to fulfill orders Pack goods to be shipped Follow all written and verbal instructions Attend all safety and production meetings Maintain a clean and safe work area   Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude Able to work overtime as needed Qualifications: High school diploma/GED required 2+ years’ experience working in a production environment is preferred Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment Ability to concentrate while performing repetitive tasks Compliance with all safety guidelines at all times Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted Able to work on foot for extended periods of time Reliable and punctual Monday – Friday  2nd Shift- 8 PM- 8 AM Reporting Relationships: Reports to Floor Supervisor Supervisory Responsibilities: None Effort & Working Conditions: This position will work in a plant environment.
