As a Software Engineer on this team, you will:

• Engineer our employee affiliation engine: reliably process thousands of lifecycle events daily.

• Simplify payroll and billing: craft tools that HR teams love 💙.

• Build seamless integrations: connect with platforms like Payfit and Workday so things “just work.”

• Automate workflows at scale: adapt solutions to companies of all sizes across multiple countries.

• Make billing delightful: ensure invoices are accurate, reliable, and easy to manage.

• Collaborate across teams: partner with product, design, and ops to deliver a unified experience.

• Work on mission-critical systems powering Alan’s growth and renewals.

• Impact hundreds of thousands of lives, making it simple for companies to use Alan.

• Solve complex business and technical puzzles, while maintaining our “uncompromising simplicity” principle.

• Shape product direction and experience, not just ship code.

• Stack: Python/Flask, React, React Native, PostgreSQL.

• What you’ll do: ship solutions that handle high complexity and scale across multiple countries, collaborating closely with product and design teams.

• Impact: your work touches core business operations and enables hundreds of thousands of employees to benefit from Alan every day.

• We are looking for software engineers of all experience levels, ideally with backend and full-stack experience.

• Comfortable digging into complex business logic, especially around insurance and payroll.

• Passionate about turning complex processes into simple, elegant solutions.

• Experienced in building scalable systems that handle real-world complexity.

• B2B experience is a plus!

• Well-versed in OOP languages (Python, Java, C#) and excited about modern web technologies (JavaScript).

• Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required).

• Curious, self-starting, humble, collaborative, and eager to grow.

• You may ultimately join the part of the engineering organization where you can have the most impact.
