As an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in supporting organizational effectiveness and staff development by creating high‑quality learning experiences for our 500+ employees. Partnering closely with clinical, operational, and executive leaders, this role translates organizational priorities and workflows into practical, measurable learning solutions that support professional growth and improved outcomes across the network.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Instructor-Led Training (ILT) Design:
- →Design and develop instructor-led, in-person learning materials, including facilitator guides, participant guides, slide decks, activities, and assessments.
- →eLearning Development:
- →Develop engaging eLearning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise), incorporating scenarios, knowledge checks, and role-based practice; publish, maintain, and update content in accordance with internal standards.
- →Visual Storytelling:
- →Create high-quality infographics and performance support materials that simplify complex clinical and administrative processes using Microsoft 365 and other design tools.
- →Strategic SME Partnership:
- →Collaborate with clinicians, psychiatrists, and operational leaders to translate AllHealth workflows and priorities into practical, role-based learning.
- →Leverage vendor-provided regulatory content as a foundation and develop organization-specific modules, resources, and scenarios. Drive alignment through structured reviews and approval processes.
- →Occasional Travel and Onsite Collaboration:
- →Travel up to 10% outside the Denver metro area to build relationships, gather context, and support content development aligned to local workflows.
- →Executive and Stakeholder Engagement:
- →Engage stakeholders at all levels (including Directors, VPs, and the C-suite) by facilitating discovery sessions and design reviews, aligning goals and success measures, and presenting clear recommendations and trade-offs.
- →Data-Driven Improvement:
- →Use data and learner feedback to continuously improve onboarding and leadership programs, supporting our goal of changing behaviors to improve outcomes.
- →Project Leadership:
- →Lead assigned learning projects through the ADDIE process, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Partner with the learning leader to confirm requirements and scope; develop project plans and timelines; manage dependencies; and track risks, issues, and decisions. Support governance by preparing materials for reviews and go/no-go decisions. Ensure quality through accessibility (WCAG), QA/UAT coordination, and launch readiness. Partner with stakeholders to measure impact after launch and iterate based on data and feedback.
- Minimum of three (3) years of instructional design experience, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, corporate, or other highly regulated environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, learning sciences, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership and the C‑
- Strong hands‑on experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), including branching scenarios, variables/triggers, interactions, and knowledge checks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams) for storyboarding, job aids, and collaboration; familiarity with basic audio/video editing and asset management.
- Experience publishing and maintaining eLearning content using common standards (e.g., SCORM) and leveraging LMS data to improve learning outcomes.
- Experience developing accessible learning; familiarity with WCAG standards preferred.
