As a School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at LEARN Academy, you play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive special education services to children with special needs. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you implement evidence-based interventions that promote students' participation and success in their educational environment.
You will work across school settings alongside teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to deliver high-quality support. Responsibilities include assisting in evaluating student needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.
Responsibilities

- →Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- →Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the educational curriculum.
- →Assisting in the adaptation of learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
- →Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
- →Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
- →Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy.

Requirements
~1 min read- Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Maintain NV COTA license requirements
