We are excited to announce a job opening for the position of Assistant Project Manager in our Luxury Finish Department. This role is crucial to our organization, as it requires strong administrative skills, exceptional multitasking abilities, and the capability to concentrate amid distractions while effectively managing workflow. If you possess these qualities and have knowledge in Plumbing Finish and Fixtures, it's a definite plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage various administrative tasks to support the department and contribute to the success and efficiency of projects.

  • Work under supervision while demonstrating the ability to work independently.

  • Assist Project Managers by supporting daily logistics and operational activities as needed.

  • Independently handle administrative coordination of products for projects, including but not limited to:

    • Resolving day-to-day issues

    • Adhering to project timelines

    • Scheduling deliveries and returns

    • Coordinating purchasing activities

    • Managing product returns

    • Updating documents and records

    • Running reports and managing data

  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally at PACE and externally with vendors and manufacturers’ representatives.

  • Work closely with vendors and manufacturers to ensure product availability and timely delivery.

  • Play a critical role in supporting the Luxury Finish Department by facilitating smooth project operations and delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

  • Demonstrated reliability, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal, written, and reading communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet customer needs

  • Strong dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction

  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to plan, stay organized, and manage responsibilities within required timeframes

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, and manufacturers

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook to support productivity and communication

  • Associate’s Degree or higher

  • 0–3 years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred

  • Plumbing knowledge is a plus

  • Experience working in a wholesale distribution environment and understanding of product flow

  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed in the role

  • Continued demonstration of reliability, exceptional organization, attention to detail, and strong communication skills

  • Proven ability to work under deadlines while effectively prioritizing tasks to support customer and project needs

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
