Alloy Fasteners is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Field Service Associate / Warehouse Associate & Driver to support our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs, warehouse operations, and customer delivery needs. This role is ideal for an individual who takes pride in their work, values strong customer relationships, and enjoys a combination of field service, inventory management, driving, and warehouse responsibilities.

As a regular presence within our customers' facilities, you will represent Alloy Fasteners' commitment to quality, professionalism, and exceptional service. You will play a key role in ensuring customers receive the products and support they need while maintaining the highest standards of inventory accuracy, organization, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain Alloy Fasteners VMI locations at customer facilities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
  • Ensure VMI stations are clean, organized, professional, and reflective of Alloy's commitment to excellence.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, usage trends, and potential issues and communicate them promptly.
  • Build positive working relationships with customer contacts and provide exceptional service during each visit.
  • Represent Alloy Fasteners professionally and courteously at all customer locations.
  • Document customer visits, conversations, concerns, requests, and follow-up activities in the company's CRM system.
  • Communicate customer feedback, concerns, inventory trends, and opportunities to Account Managers and internal teams.
  • Remain alert to opportunities for additional products, services, or process improvements and communicate observations appropriately.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, warehouse personnel, administration, and leadership to resolve customer issues and improve service levels.
  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain delivery documentation and customer receipts.
  • Follow all company safety policies and transportation regulations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Receive, stock, organize, and pick inventory accurately.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipment and delivery.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory management initiatives.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support additional warehouse and operational activities as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory management, warehouse efficiency, VMI organization, and customer service processes.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and actively participate in process improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory management, delivery driving, customer service, or VMI experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use CRM and inventory systems.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse and inventory-related tasks.
