Position Summary
The US Medical Director, Health System & Payer Engagement is a strategic in-house Medical Affairs role responsible for leading end-to-end scientific resource and engagement enablement across Health System and Payer MOSL teams. In close partnership with Medical Affairs Teams, SAM, VESt, Market Access, and cross-functional leadership, this role drives development of field-facing scientific, outcomes, and value-based resources to support effective engagement with health system decision-makers, payer stakeholders, C-suite healthcare leaders, clinical pharmacists, and other stakeholders influencing formulary and access decisions.
This is a hybrid role with regular onsite presence expected in Cambridge, MA or Philadelphia, PA.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead US health system and payer medical engagement strategy across the TTR portfolio, including MOSL-focused scientific engagement, field enablement, and resource planning.
* Develop, support training, and maintain insight-driven, field-facing scientific, outcomes, and educational resources aligned to evolving clinical, payer, health system, and evidence generation needs.
* Partner cross-functionally with VESt, SAM, HEOR, Market Access, Scientific Communications, Field Medical, and US Medical leadership to align evidence generation, field execution, and health system engagement strategies.
* Provide medical and scientific leadership for advisory boards, expert engagements, and relevant MOSL congress activities, including scientific content strategy and field support.
* Serve as US Medical lead for MRL review and approval of MOSL field medical resources, ensuring scientific accuracy, strategic consistency, clinical relevance, and compliance.
* Analyze field insights and stakeholder feedback to identify educational gaps, evidence needs, and opportunities to improve scalability, consistency, and operational effectiveness across field engagement tools and platforms.
* Support integration of in-house medical strategy with field execution and access objectives in collaboration with MOSL leadership, National Accounts, and Market Access.
* Apply strong strategic and business acumen to prioritize engagement opportunities, identify evidence gaps relevant to access decision-makers, and contribute to broader US Medical Affairs strategy and operational excellence initiatives.
* Serve as a thought partner to senior medical leadership on evolving health system engagement models and innovative approaches to scientific exchange and field medical enablement.
Qualifications
Required
* Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP, or PA).
* 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience, including significant experience supporting field medical & health system engagement initiatives.
* Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional medical initiatives within matrix organizations.
* Strong understanding of Field medical strategy and operations, MRL review processes and medical compliance, Scientific engagement and evidence communication, Health systems and payer dynamics
* Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.
Preferred
* Experience supporting MOSL or health system engagement models.
* Familiarity with integrated delivery networks, COEs, and evolving healthcare delivery models.
* Experience within cardiovascular or related specialty therapeutic areas.
* Experience supporting launch or growth-stage brands in competitive environments.

U.S. Pay Range
$238,800.00 - $323,000.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
